Elegant and Easy

I went out of my comfort zone picking this type of light fixture. I bought it for my living room and had the same light fixture for 14 years. It was more modern and its simple lines are pretty different from what I would normally have chosen, but I love the simple elegance of it. It looks just like the pictures and came boxed up securely and safely. It was very easy to install. My 17 yo did most of the work. It even came with light bulbs so once it was installed it was ready to use. No running out to the store for light bulbs. The gold and crystal are really elegant together. The product description talks a lot about farmhouse/country style but that's not how my home is decorated. My home decor is traditional and it works. I think it can work with a lot of different home decor styles.

This is a sturdy light that puts out a ton of light, best used in high ceilings or really dark spaces. It can handle up to 8 60watt bulbs. I think I overshot this choice of chandelier for our low ceiling, small dining room, so we put 25watt bulbs in and it's still more than ample. It may be oversized for our room, but I like it so keeping it.
